WvW and PvP
WvW is World PvP, although strategy is often used large numbers dominate this play style. In sPvP it is all skill and a bit of strategy.
I personally enjoy both but am a WvWer at heart.

In WvW you are a zerg. Best to travel with other zergs and hope to find groups of enemy zergs with less numbers so your band of zergs will win.
RIP City of Heroes
World vs. World is where 3 servers fight each other in player vs. player combat in order to capture and hold supply camps, towers, keeps, and stonemist castle across 4 separate battlefields in order to gain points and buffs. PvE armor is used in WvW. SPv kitten tructured Player vs. Player, consisting of small 8v8 or 5v5 conquest matches of holding 3 points on a map, along with capturing a neutral orb on one of the maps. SPvP uses its own set of armors and stats to play. PvE is Player vs. Environment, where you fight the ai to gain gear and such, which you can use to fight in WvW. Both WvW and SPvP will scale you up to level 80, though in WvW you won’t have the same gear as everyone else if you are scaled up (ex: level 80 exotics).
