Guild Wars 2

Hey guys recently came back to guild wars 2 to occupy some time before eso hits. Going to level a new profesion from scratch for some WvW play, and some light PvE. Decided on one of the heavy armor classes because I like bad kitten armor and big greatswords/hammers.

Having trouble deciding between the two of them though. Any help/suggestions would be great. I have gotten both to level 30, but do not want to continue both because of time. Might come back to which ever I don’t play to get to max level.

This will be my main for gw2 so I guess all aspects of the game can come into play.

Alright well I would like to have decent survivability while still being able to do good damage. Solo roaming in wvw isn’t really my thing because it doesn’t make much difference any ways. Small group roaming is always fun. Zerg sucks most the time, but every once in a while enjoy it.

Being wanted in groups wouldn’t be a bad thing either.

Guardian……with a hammer/staff and soldier armor and runes.

Check some youtube vids, and try out some builds in pvp.

Small group roaming…. warrior.

You’re not really going to need a guardian unless at the head of a zerg.

I have mained a guard since beta and not really cared to level anything else. However as of late, with all the talk of how OPed warriors are, I thought I would try one out, as I never really had trouble with them 1vs1. So I made one, and I can say from what I have had the chance to play, the comments of why guard are close to warriors in survivability even with far less HP because of mechanics is utter BS. I started out with a full zerker warrior, still getting 20k HP, I do that on my guard and am lucky to have 11k and the damage output is no where near the same. The mobility is also crazy, staying on a target is easy, and then the warrior has so much access to control on top of it. I ran into a few of the same people I do roaming most nights in the BL and wanted to give it ago with them….tested a few builds out in 1vs1 and I could win without even trying, taking down 2 people who on their own were a bit of a challenge on my guard, were easy prey for 2vs1 with the warrior.

I will agree with people who say warrior has just as high a skill cap as any other class, I can see it has allot to offer, it just does it so easy, joining into zergs I was staying alive longer on the zerker warrior than I was on some of my more “tanky” guard builds. I love my guard, don’t get me wrong, but the few days I have had with my warrior, has shown me what I have been missing.

I have a Guardian and a Warrior.
And although I love my guardian I have to say that whoever never played a warrior in WvW is just missing the best developed and flexible class of GW2.

Warrior in WvW is just the most amazing fun ever! Hits like a train, survives like there is no tomorrow and moves like a lightning while CCing the poor enemies to death.

With a warrior you can really have a huge impact on every WvW battle.
