Guild Wars 2

Hello,

Yesterday I bought GW2. Untill now I only have played the personal story. But now I got stuck at a quest where you need to be Rank 11 or higher, but I am only rank 7 and I’m dying all the time. So I wanted to try something else. I tried to do WvW, but I don’t know how to get to the battleground. Can someone help me please? And do you guys know other things I can do to level up?

You should try explorring areas and doing heart-quests,as well as gathering items and crafting them.Although its a minor boost you should try to always have one exp boosting food which you can buy at the tp or certain npc.Also try having armor and weapons with power and condition dmg stats they are pretty overpowered in early levels.

Okaaaay – you want to WvW?

There’s a menu bar on the top/left of your screen. One of those is an icon of a tower. That will bring up the dialog that offers you a choice of battleground.
(Or just press ‘B’ – that’s the hotkey)

Armour and weapons for WvW (also useable in PvE) can be bought for karma from the karma trader at the back of the Asura gate hall in ‘Citadel’ – that’s the place you port to when you go to your server ‘borderland’, one of the three home borders to the battleground.

You need to look this stuff up on the Wiki, it’s all a bit complicated at first (Google is your best friend)

You can buy weapons and armor from the “Trading Post” just press “O” on your keyboard to open the “TP” and filter search for armor and weapons for your level.
The fastest way to level though is to actually explore maps. And if you got the gold you could try crafting too! I made an Asura elementalist 3h ago and I’m already level 41 ^^

WvW probably isn’t your best bet for leveling. You’ll likely die a lot more there than in your personal story (especially since you are below level 10). Sometimes you can find a karma train, which is a large group of players who run from one objective to the next capping as fast as possible. You won’t learn your class very well by doing this though as you’re essentially running in circles to gain exp.
