Hit 80 recently and discovered that I’m still receiving XP. What is that all about?

You gain skill points everytime you “level-up” after reaching level 80.

Those can be used to buy different stuff needed for Mystic Forge Recipes and Legendary Weapons.

Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square

You still earn skill points every time your bar fills past 80. Myanni in LA sells items in exchange for skill points that are used to craft legendary, ascended, or exotic weapons.

Skill point will also be useful since they have said before they’d like to add skills to the professions in the future.

Seeing as the pattern of importance is currently new content > bug fixes it’s not a bad idea to keep getting that XP. Not sure how many other classes have poorly/incorrectly working skills but I sure don’t have many options on the professions I play.
