i stopped getting achievement points any ideas why?

The point total from daily plus monthly is 15,000.

The game, unfortunately, doesn’t give you any warning that this will happen, any notification that you have reached a cap, nor make it easy to see your total of “daily + monthly.”

You can see the breakdown of the AP sources when you hover over the total in the Achievements panel.

I have a corollary question, since I’m three weeks away from hitting the 15K cap: If the 10 points gained from my final points-giving daily would take me over the cap, will I get whatever subset of points are needed to reach 15K? Or is it all-or-nothing on the 10 points and I will forever lack those AP?

You will get the sub-set. Everyone that is capped is capped at exactly 15,000 APs.
