this trait here for engineer “Energized Armor” it says 5% of toughness is convewrted to power. was wondering if this means just toughness or the toughness generated by defense stat.

im going for a damage build but when I noticed this trait it makes toughness trait worth picking up poossably. also noticed that all armor has toughness or atleast raises your toughness in the hero panel im assuming due to the “defense” stat

Defense does not equal toughness.

All armors give defense, but defense does not affect toughness stat. In fact, it’s the opposite. The trait is only useful when you go in deep into the trait line that boosts your toughness and wear armors that include toughness as a bonus stat. But yes, it’s a good trait regardless of profession for those who wants to be sturdy but still do some damage.

No it doesn’t. There are two stats, toughness and defense, unless your armor has toughness for bonus stat, it will not boost your toughness.

Yes indeed they do the same exact thing, but they aren’t the same

defense = toughness + armor defense
only one of them contributes to Energized Armor
