hey guys im wondering or its a bug or its cuz im an asura as u can see in the image below my friend has more options to change his dye on the gear (helm)-(gloves)-(pauls) and (boots)

and as u can see at my armor that is the same i only have less options to change my dye i wished i had the same options as he has but is this a bug or is it intended
hope a dev can help me out here or anyone else ofcourse

Is your asura a male? (sorry, its difficult to tell). Perhaps it is a differnence between male and female versions of the armour rather than a difference between races?

Not the same options for everyone? Oh man! Equal rights doesn’t exist in GW2.

I don’t think this is a bug, but more a designissue. I’m not an expert, but for every armor and for every race (and sex) a new model had to be made, over the model the colouring and colouring zones are applied. So it could be a technical problem, cause of the different model. But it could also be astetic case the amount of detail possible on the human won’t be visable on a tiny asura.

I think it’s as intended, and some armor models would have fewer dye options than others. Usually with my pants, I get 2. but in this emblazoned armor (exotic medium lvl 80 armor), i only have 1. so i guess its a design thing.

aight i do think its not intended tho as it is the same armor set and skin skins should have the same options to dye for as u can see anyways my other set in pvp armagedon and in pve aurora set they have more options to dye for like my friends draconic set
it would be nice if an dev could response here to clarify if its intended or not

Pretty sure it’s based on race alone. I have worn the same exact set that I crafted for my buddy and we not only looked completely different, but had different dye options.

Also: Asura male and female armor is the same model
