begining soulbound item to accountbound
I have a gotten a few souldbound items that are given during character creation.
Is it possible to make those item account bound? Since those item are taken up bank space. And I want to move it on to a mule to hold.
You’d have to transmute them onto a white or blue quality item of the same type (and maybe same level). The item you transmute onto also has to be unbound. Cheers.
You can transmute them to keep the skin, but that’s ALL you’re keeping. The name and the stats will change to those of the item you transmute it on to. Although with starter gear that can actually be a good thing because the stats aren’t much good once you’ve levelled up a few times.
It might also be worth checking whether you can get that skin anywhere else. I know for example the engineers monocle can be crafted so there’s not really any need to keep that, you can just get another one later.

I just re-created a mesmer to get back the demon mask. As was posted buy a cheap white head piece (does not matter level) and use a transmute stone (have about 200 normals stones in the bank) by the newly created character. It is now account bound, pop it in the bank and either delete like I did or play it. I then needed to use a high level stone but I have them from some zone completion rewards.

The demon of rng, I think I have gotten them 4 times in total. This was on 6 toons to 80 with one 100%, 1 95% and the rest around 50% map complete.
