Q:

scenario : a support class character A with certain amount healing power stats and +boon duration stats. A casted skills that give regen and few other boons, and a few allies nearby are affected.

question 1 : does the effective healing from regen received by the allies around A depend on the healing power of A, OR depends on the individual healing power of each of the allies ?

question 2 : does the effective boon duration received the allies around A depend on the +boon duration of A, OR depends on the +boon duration of each of the allies ?

A:

@Saturn
Poison (and Agony) reduce INCOMING heal. If A heals B, the recovered HP depends on B being poisoned and ignored A being poisoned.

Affected by source:

  • Boon duration
  • Condition duration (+x%)
  • Boon power (healing for regeneration; power for retaliation)
  • Condition power (condition damage; various traits/ sigils/ runes)
  • Damage power (power; +x%)

Affected by receiver:

  • Condition duration (-x%)
  • Heal reduction (-x%) (Poison/ Agony)
  • Damage power (defense; -x%)

Basically saying, all effects which makes it stronger, depend on the source, all which makes them weaker, depend on the target.

Answer1:
The healing from Regen is affected by the HealPower of A.
Proof: If A has Poison, it makes no difference on the healing that B gets. If B has Poison, B gets 33% less heals from A.
(Therefore B’s HealPow never comes into play unless B heals).

Answer2:
The boon duration applied to B(by A) is dependent on A’s BoonDur (same as above, B’s BoonDur never comes into play unless B boons up).

Pretty much like this, just want to add:

  • Agony reduces incoming healing by 50% (Poison only 33%)
  • Whoever distributes boons/ conditions “controls” its properties (strength & duration); remember that the reciever can lower his incoming condition duration by some means.
  • If multiple instances of the same boon (except might) are applied by different sources, the strongest source will be used first, regardless of the order or duration.

This would actually imply that B’s healing power is used.

If B has Poison, B gets 33% less heals from A.
(Therefore B’s HealPow never comes into play unless B heals).

B heals less if B is poisoned. Again; obviously B’s healing power is reduced and not A’s, thus A’s healing power doesn’t have any effect.

I might add that it’s still possible that it IS affected by A’s healing power… but I think poison might be the wrong example. As far as I understand it, poison doesn’t reduce healing power, but the amount your heals heal… what I mean is, the number gets calculated normally and then (if the person that’s to be healed) has poison, 33% are subtracted.
The easiest way to actually test it would be to have two characters with a different healing power applying renegeration to eachother (obviously not at the same time).

Answer2:
The boon duration applied to B(by A) is dependent on A’s BoonDur (same as above, B’s BoonDur never comes into play unless B boons up).

I think I’ll have to test that at some point, because I always thought it’s different. And after your contradictory example above, I don’t really feel like just believing you. ^^

boon duration and healing effectiveness depends on the source (player casting it)
if receiving player have poison, then ally will get healed for 33% less (poison condition on casting player have no effect on this)

e.g. if i have FGJ shout that has 47s might duration(depends on my boon+might duration, in this case +85%) and heals for 1200hp (depends on my healing power), then i and up to 4 nearby allies will get 47s might duration and will be healed for 1200 (800 if receiving player got poison) – therefor receivers’ boon durations and healing powers are irrelevant

Hm, okay. I’ll believe you that then. Meh; too bad swiftness duration from runes doesn’t affect the swiftness I get from other people (and neither does my boon duration). Oh well. ^^
