Hi im new to mmorpgs and gw2 itself. The game is fun and great but it feels like no one playing this game anymore and the world seems so empty. Wben I try some of the world event quest, it feels bit hard for soloing the quest cuz it seems like it is structured to be accomplished with big big gruop. This makes me feel im lvling too slow and hard to progress with my story quest which im enjoying alot. Is the game dead or are people just playing pvps and wvw?

Try guesting on other servers. Then transfer to the server you like.

A lot of people like the human area 1-15 to play in. It does not matter which species you pick to play everyone can play in any zone. The game has been out for many months now and while people are still in game they are not all in starter zones, and not in all zones all the time. That said I have never found a zone that is completely empty, just people not in zone chat.

The low level areas are a bit empty, but you’ll see more people in high level areas. Hang in there, it’s a great game worth it!
If you want to see big crowds, you could play a bit of WvW from time to time =)

Lots of people all over the pve zones on the Yak’s Bend server… I’m wondering if you joined a server in the wrong region perhaps?

Link waypoint in map and say champion/group event whatever it is…some people will always usually turn up…they will probably want it for there daily…

There are loads of people in game, they are:

1) In WvW
2) In Fractuals
3) In another dungeon
4) Doing or waiting for a world event.

StarNightz,

Head over to the World vs World forum and take a look at the stickied posts at the top of the forum. ArenaNet likes to update each server’s ranking in WvW every couple of weeks. While this is a very general statement, the servers on the lower third of the list tend to be in that ranking because of lower population levels. If you’re looking for an over flowing server, I’d suggest looking at one of the top WvW servers.

(This statement comes from a member of Fergusson’s Crossing, which has been ranked last in WvW for some time. I like the atmosphere of our population, but our low level zones are not filled with tons of people. Our population has been on the lighter side for some time.)

We are Test Group F. (Don’t ask about what happened to the previous Test Groups.)

It could be your server, I was on a low population server and it felt like I was alone out there, especially when I wasn’t in Queensdale. I moved to Tarnished Coast and there are a ton more people and I enjoy the game so much more now.

Also try and find a guild that suits you. I prefer my small guild (we usually have a bout 6 or 7 on most nights but we all know each other really well) and we all run content together most of the time. But there are obviously a lot of advantages to large guilds too.

I play on Henge of Denravi and I find the population of the map any seems to do be dependent on if there is a world boss to be farmed and where the daily’s are sending people.

I remember making it to ORR months ago and only seeing 3 people in a 4 hours making events impossible. This changed as time progressed as people started getting to the higher levels and now ORR is full. The Starting areas have also surged in population with the past weekend trials and the other areas are very dependent on farm-able events.

I can also attest that on Henge of Denravi the evenings (6PM – midnight Mountain time) are very busy and full of people and in the afternoons you will find people to play with and tend to be more willing to help out. The mornings tend be very quiet. Weekends are busy all day. You may need to find a server that fits your play times.

Hope you picked a server with High population. But anyway the starter zones are pretty empty that’s true. But someone is always there usually doing their own thing.Use the Mapchat to find out if there’s anyone on the map, also start looking for a guild so you can lvl together.

most of all the maps is empty. but I’m always able to find one section of every zone where there is a high population density. not necessarily doing stuff, but some are. most are waiting for an event to start.
use /map to ask anyone in that zone if they want to join you for random events and leveling and stuffs
