Hi,

I feel that I am wasting all my silver on these things. By the time I plant it and start to build it. Either someone else finishes the build and starts using or when you get back with more resources it is destroyed.

I am just level 11 now and I think the cost of 6 silver is too high for the amount of time you get to use it.

Above the Fort gates are oil pots and I don’t think we need to buy them. How about adding these siege weapons on the corners of the fort walls? So Players can enjoy using them.

I purchased 3 so far and find it is a waste of silver, I hardly ever see other players buying them and setting them up.

What are your views? Are we able to craft them?

As the owner of the siege you can take it over, even if someone else is on it. You dont have to be the one buying siege at level 11 either.

No ones buying them right now cause the games only last a day. Wait til they are 2 week battles.

Siege Weapons , especially the upgraded ones from the Mystic Forge were never meant to be provided by individuals. With objective rewards rewarding about 1 silver per member, an organised guild can easily pool resources to buy Flame Rams, Trebutchets, etc.

On your own, yes it’s a waste of money.

rams are awesome, so are trebs. but i’m such a terrible team player I let other players front the bill. It’s just not worth the silver for some karma and silver, it’s a waste.

I often purchase Arrow Carts and Rams, but I think the idea is to pool resources with your friends/guild. Buying these things by yourself especially at a low level will send you broke pretty quickly.

And as said already you can punt the person using your seige weapon as the owner.

You aren’t expected to buy siege equipment at level 11. However, someone needs to have it. If your team is playing WvW without siege then you are doing it majorly wrong.

You can buy them with Badges of Honor which you can collect by killing players, some drop up to 2 of them.

While this is true, some people (myself for instance) are saving their badges so they can buy the exotic WvW weapons and armor.

Still better than wasting money on it.

2. situational siege is amazing,

i had a evening where it was hrs of back and forth over 1 bridge, so i managed to get up a arrow, ballista and treb on our side, all i can say was it was amazing.

3. if you dont want to pay for siege, EB has the jumping puzzle that always gives a few blueprints.
