camps with fast respawn rate?
Oh my engineer is level 80. Karka farming is slow for me right now. I need to obtain better pve gear but broke right now.
There is a problem with your scenario in that people have been suspended for setting up turrets as you suggest and going afk. The message on the suspension notice refers to, among other things, extended unattended play. There have been engineers suspended for doing what you suggest.
If you need gold, try running dungeons or go to the Silverwastes and get enough bandit keys to get on a chest farm. You can also buy exotic gear with karma from the temples at 42k karma a piece, 252k karma total. The different temples have different stats so check that first. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Temple_armor
If you need to farm karma, the EOTM, Tequatl, and fractals can be a good source.

With Diminishing Returns it wouldn’t work out very well anyway.
Thanks I will check out Silverwastes have not been. I will say engineer turrets blow up after a shotwhile. My turrets atleast do I don’t know how to make them unlimited.
Plus I can’t loot if not at keyboard, I would probably die if I went away from keyboard atleast I would suspect. So I personally see it as pointless not sure how what works. Still I will try Silverwastes it sounds promising.
Thanks!
Turrets used to have infinite duration.
Turrets only last 5 minutes, therefore you need to check in on them every 5 minutes to respawn them. And at the same time you can loot everything. There is a trait that allows turrets to self-heal which you’ll need if you want to farm while away.
I do some semi-afk turret farming every now and then. I don’t think it’s against any rules anymore since you have to be interacting with the game every 5 minutes and therefore you are still playing (just don’t use a bot to interact for you). I personally use this when I want to do some cleaning or other chores around the house and I can easily peek in at my turrets as needed to respawn them. I can do something very boring (farm) and get something useful done (cleaning) at the same time.
Everything said, this isn’t going to earn you a lot of money no matter where you set up. Even self-repairing turrets are pretty fragile so you’ll have to set them up in either a slow respawn area or a low level zone where the turrets can easily handle whatever comes their way. I’ve used it more to farm for specific materials I needed and not for actual money making. Where you set up depends on what you need.

“Anything that automates game play to the point where you are able to not actually play the game as-intended (example: you can walk away from it) is considered a breach of the User Agreement.”
So, if it’s set up so you can walk away from it and they still kill, then it’s against TOS. However, if you come back every few minutes, they probably can’t catch you at it. Just be aware that some have been banned or suspended for doing this.

First time I’ve heard of a company banning someone using the mechanics that are in the game that ISN’T considered an exploit.

It’s the part about extended, unattended play. You’re supposed to be actively playing the game, not setting it up so mobs die while you are afk then coming back and getting the dropped loot. Whether they will do anything about it will depend on the circumstances but it means they can decide to sanction the account.
They also suspended/banned rangers for repeatedly setting pets up to kill respawning mobs while the ranger went afk.
