Guild Wars 2

I tried to reproduce the issue but couldn’t so far.
Sometimes I can’t certain other players to group or I can’t join other groups. The specific option simply does not exist. I could not figure out why. In some occasions this option does not show up for one player but seconds later I can invite another one.
I haven’t tried to type in names to invite someone since some names contain characters I am not sure how to type. So I only use the pop-up menu in the chat window.

Is there some mechanic behind? Or is it just a bug?

i’m guessing you are talking about right clicking someones name in chat

you get options to invite/join only if you are located very close to the player or if player is on your friend list

alternativly if this happens you can press p and type the name, this always works

You can also use the /invite and /join commands.

Useful when you are in WvW since the only option you get in there is Report.
