i cant swap weapons on my elementalist, i cant even swap in the hero panel. so the game is unplayable for me on my elementalist. my other char works fine do.

Elementalist and engineer is the only classes that can only have one weapon and no swap, not a bug

Elementalists have 20 skills on one weapon set alone, so no weapon swapping. You should learn to change your attunement according to situation.

Elementalists can’t weapon swap because they have 4 different skill sets for each weapon they equip. Engineers have weapon kits, so they can’t swap either.

As others said – Elementalist (and Engineer) only have one weapon set available so you have to swap your weapons out of combat by putting in a new set (i.e. Dagger/Dagger to Staff or Dagger/Focus etc)

BUT…

This is because Elementalists use their atunements (Professional skills – F1-F4 by Default) like others use weapon swaps – you should swap these attunements in a fight to get different skills like others do with weapons. i.e. F1 (Fire) is for Damage spells, F2 (Water) is for Healingm F33 (Air) is for speed etc etc.

This is why Elementalist & Engineer ae considered more complex classes that some others as it takes a good while to get familiar with etc. but it’s very effective when done right.

TL:DR – They only have 1 weapon set because they have 4 spell sets which act the same so you really get double the skills/spells other professions get and can become truly awesome with practice.
