What is the best way to do this? Someone told me to buy rares and salvage but I don’t see a vendor. Anyone have some good ideas.?

turning badges of honor into gold is very inefficient and not really worth it

That’s a shame. Anything they are actually good for if you don’t play wvw? Looking to spend them. Stuff I can buy and maybe give out to commanders? What things do they want/need?

you can use them to buy siege and then turn the siege into superior siege and sell it , try selling some superior arrowcart or superior rams

Gear up some alts in exotic armor

Even if they’re not efficient what are the options for converting badges to gold?

I already have enough badges to buy a full set of gear for all my characters (my main already has full exotics/ascended) and by the time I actually get them to level 80 I’ll have a lot more. I’ve got my first Gift of Battle and won’t need another for a long time. I never buy siege weapons.

I’m not looking to farm badges to sell so I don’t care if it’s inefficient. But it’s annoying to me to have so many excess badges just sitting in my wallet when I want all the gold I can get to buy a precursor.

I know the exotic weapons and armor can’t be sold or salvaged but what about the rare and common ones? Or is buying siege the only option?

i believe all armour except maybe the blues are soulbound. I’ve had enough badges to buy 2 full sets of armour from WVW, still have enough left to buy a 3rd. I find it a good way to kit out new characters at lvl 80.

I am pretty sure you can still buy 3 level 70 exotic pieces of armour, add a forging stone and throw them into the mystic forge. It’s a pretty poor return though unless you get lucky with the rune on your resulting piece of armour.

Buying rams and arrow carts and selling them on the TP is the best BOH to Gold ratio, its 6 BOH to 1.2-1.5s. Another way is 3 lvl 70 exotics 1 MF stone, but with that way your mostly hoping to get a good rune so its a gamble.

Unfortunately, if you dont want many legendaries or ascended amulets, badges of honor are by far the the currency that is worth the least. You should never buy the exotic gear with it and the prints are little more than dirt

If it’s the one that’s worth the least in general why shouldn’t you use it for the one thing it is good for – buying weapons and armor?

Because any upgrade component placed in these is lost forever

Oh I see. Not an issue for me since I very rarely, if ever, change my gear and I don’t tend to go for the expensive upgrades anyway.
