Guild Wars 2

Hi All!
I belong to a guild on a different server then the one I am on. I guest on that server to play with my guild mates sometimes but anyway….recently I purchased 2000 guild influence with laurels while guesting on their server, only they don’t see the influence. I do, but I can’t see what they have trained. Is this normal or did I mess something up?

Nope. Just found out myself that even though you are guesting on that server, the guild rep you gain still applies to your home server.

Which I think sucks.

Wow, yeah that does suck. How does that affect guild missions? would I be able to run guild missions with that guild if I am guesting?

From what I understand, they have a known-issue with people not getting guild commendations after running, say, guild bounties, but are working on a fix. Other than that I think you can still do them with the guild.

We are wondering what happens to players who are on other servers whether their repping counts to us when they are still repping their original homeworld guild?

Here’s hoping for answers.

I think it was meant to do that, so if you’re a hardcore guild you can be on a dedicated server, but if you just want to be with friends or w/e then you can be on different servers. As for guild missions, you personally can get credit (commendations) as long as you’re guesting and repping that guild/server. The merits are only rewarded to the home server (whichever the leader is on)

…and from the Dev comments I’ve seen there is no intention to change this (but that certainly could have changed….but I doubt it).
