died out in a higher level and no copper to goto waypoint
Corpse run to an area with no mob. Press B and go into any borderland. Exit to Lion Arch.
Thanks, I ended up getting a res from a nice person and then was able to loot a mob. I am safe now.
Will try what you said to see how i can corpse run next time.
Cheers
If you don’t have the coin in your inventory, it’ll check your bank. If you don’t have money in the bank either, the nearest waypoint becomes free for you to use. Check the ones around you because sometimes there’s two seemingly at equal distance. If none of them are free, you should bug report that.

Corpse run? Corpse collecting? O_o Am I missing something?
Corpse run? Corpse collecting? O_o Am I missing something?
I would like to know this too.
I’ve never noticed any corpse run option

I am equally baffled, and actually checked for a second if I accidentally entered another game’s forum.
oooOOOoO OOOoOooo OOOoooo =)
Ahh, I see you speak fluent Quaggan jguthrie!
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
What’s even more confusing to me as that they seem to know what each other is talking about.
Corpse run is from wow, pretty much when you died you would respawn as a ghost and have to run back to your corpse
No, it’s from much older than WoW. Ultima Online is the first game I know about with corpse runs.
That being said, I am unaware of any equivalent in GW2.
There is no corpse run in GW2. This post is really confusing to be honest.
So, I for one am seriously confused now. I’ve never died w/o having any copper. So, what DOES actually happen if I die w/o moneys?
See Eivene’s post above, vid. Funnily enough I was discussing this yesterday with a guildmate. I haven’t tested this, but I assume the scenario DID occur to the dev’s. Otherwise… :o
never noticed any cost when going to a way point because of death
now if your ALIVE, then yes there is a cost outside of a major city
Yeah, the nearest waypoint is always free if you’re flat broke. If you’re very NEAR to flat broke (say you’ve got only 5 copper even though you usually spend 1s on waypoints) it’ll usually charge you everything you’ve got.
