Hi guys!

I’m just wondering about this.

I’ve heard that the difference isn’t really noticeable, is this true?
And is the cost so much more on an ascended armor?

I’m planning on using this set on my Engineer in WvW roaming.

Ascended armor gives you around 1,8% more damage and 5% more defense
for a cost of somewhere around 400-600 gold i think.

Thanks man. Okay, so damage wise it’s not that much, but a little gain in defense.
I wouldn’t say it’s worth it (?).

That spreadsheet is noice, but from what I could gather they only compared berserker armor, and I think the difference in celestial is less then berserkers compared to each other.

Check out this:

The left is ascended and right is exotic with ascended trinkets
(it’s also with pack runes on both pictures and an exotic berserkers rifle, no food, no traits placed)

Very minimal difference IMO

Pretty much the accepted answer is that Ascended Weapons are worth the effort (even if it’s just a bit more potential damage output or stat boost), while Ascended Armor is only something a high level Fractal runner should pursue. Of course there are are those players that insist that having full BiS gear is a must to prove your commitment (I tend to try and avoid those players).
