i know there are quite few factor to consider such as:

travel time(speed):
cast time:
rate(shots/sec):

my question would probably fall under the category or should i say terms of “rate”.
overall what do you think is the -> fastest RANGE ATTACK <- out of all the 8 class

I think it is very unfair to judge these things on travel time. The range of e.g. a longbow can be up to 1200. There are other projectiles with a range of 300. Some bounce between multiple targets, etc. The thiefs ranged skills work on initiatieve, so there is no solid cooldown or cast time, instead you can loose initiative making you wait.

Your trying to compare things that are way too different.

I think Ranger shortbow has the fastest “1” attack, followed shortly by Thief shortbow. Ranger longbow has a barrage type attack (number 2 I believe) which is even faster, but as far as autos go, it would be shortbows

P/P thief using Unload … but that isn’t sustainable.

i think you have no idea of what i am asking. this is a basic “which or what question” not a “comment on what i am saying”

you did mentioned that there are difference which is exactly what i’m referring to and i do know that. otherwise, i wouldn’t even bother considering those categories I’ve mentioned.

yes i am comparing all things that are way too different and i’m well aware that the LB
is way to slow to be even included of what I’m asking.

again this is a question asking for tips and advice from other player. not a judgement on all range weapon

do you think ranger’s SB with 1/2 activation time is faster than a
thief’s SB with 1/4 activation time?

how can you say shortbows is the fastest in terms of auto attack? what about pistols?
a warrior and engineer with rifle, a gurdian with scepter?

In terms of auto attack, the rate of fire (which is what I thought you were asking) of a shortbow is the fastest. Scepter and pistol are pretty fast (for a guard), but they aren’t as fast as shortbow (as far as I’m aware, this is all based on observation, no stats). Someone else mentioned the pistol/pistol barrage type skill for thief, that’s probably the fastest (watch as someone names another skill I forgot).

Not sure if you count Guardian’s default staff attack, but it’s travel time is pretty fast.

If we’re talking about skills, then the fastest projectile is an engineer’s rifle turret FX skill Surprise Shot. It’s instant and does damage instantly. You can even use it during auto attack channels and anything else.
