few queries from a returning player.
Welcome back, we’ve missed you! D=
Yeah it’s still pretty newbie friendly, just nowhere near as populated as you may remember (lower levels of course). There is the boring ol’ champ farm in Queensdale that people run all day, but I wouldn’t suggest it for leveling(though say mayl tell you otherwise). Idk about straits of devastation anymore, I believe the new thing is the champ zergs in Queensdale and Frostgorge.
The eventzerg in Straits is basicly dead. For some unknown reasons they changed the chain making it so that all events happen at the same time.
Most people changed to Frost Gorge sound for the champtrain there. The reason is another change where champions drop a lootbox. This contains several items including exotic weapons and t6 mats. It is called a train cause they go around the map to visit all champs one by one. when the last is killed the first is (almost) up.
A simular thing exist in Queensdale. Depending on each of the timers that one goes like this:
Troll (vale waypoint)
Oak (phinney waypoint)
Spider (north off hunting lodge)
Boar (south off hunting lodge and also longest waitingpoint, so best place to wait for the train to hop on)
Though I dont recommend it to new players (it gives a lot of experience, so you miss too much) it might be a good thing for you, cause you are not fully new.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Alright thanks for the info
Is sea of sorrows still populated?
Can you reccomend some populated servers?
I was pretty scared on coming back because i thought ill have no one to run low level fractals with
Well fortunately about a month ago they implemented an “LFG Tool” that allows you to look for groups for just about anything(personal story, living/open world, fractals/dungeons etc) across all the servers. I personally atleast run 1 fractal everyday using that LFG tool, so I can attest that it works!
