from a guild mission, what class would benefit the most from a cleric weapon? i am assuming guardian but i want to either use it for a gs or 1h sword

what other options are there?

Benefit from cleric stats? Can’t be done. You’d only be hindering yourself by using a weapon of those attributes. However, if you like the weapon skins you can transmute them! That’s what I did with my Shaman weapon chest. Transmuted the axe on a zoija one so that I’d have a blue one with a sigil of battle, making it easier to differentiate between my mainhand ascended axe and offhand one

i dont think you understand, i dont have a spare ascended to just transmute it to another one just for the skins sake

I’d recommend staff for guardian. The empower will do lots of heals as well as the 2 skill

I run Cleric’s on my warrior, so that I can serve as bait during encounters. If you’re going to try and do that, I would suggest a rifle so that you can stack bleed as you kite.

Might work for a staff for a water attuned ele to heal

I’m with Purple Miku, but I personally would love the box because the skin is gorgeous.

Anyway, the reason it’s bad is because it’s the least offensive of everything (except maybe settlers) and for pve, at least, non dps serves literally no purpose.

Edit: I’d also like to add that in terms of DPS an exotic Knight’s weapon (not even berserker) probably adds more valuable stats (dps wise) than the ascended cleric weapon. Food for thought!

Yup i’m with Purple Miku and Lilith on that. A really nice skins, but the stats is useless in any situation. Healing power scale really badly and its the worst stats of the game by far. If you don’t care about that, then use if on whatever you want it won’t change a things. If you don’t want to transmute it, then still use to for the skin, but keep the stats. If you find that the best looking white ascended weapons is the greatsword, then use it for that. If you find that the staff is so cool, then use it for that. All profession are bad equally with clerics.

a GS ranger that is running full damage elsewhere with a LB or SB might be a good cantidate as the toghness and healing (ranger has tons of regen and condi remove with Healing Spring) will help him stay alive pretty well in combination with the natural evade asssociated with the auto skill chain. it has Power on the sword itself and the natural +10% damage increase would make up a tiny bit that you’d lose from you zerker GS. other than that i don’t have much recommendation cept maybe staff for a guard but that’s MEH or even the GS for the Guardian but i truely think that a Ranger with a LB or SB would be the one to get the most benefit from this sword. also don’t forget you can add a bit of stats to it and soon TWO sigils so I say Ranger all the way

Only vaguely related to this but have the drop rates changed for the ascended bags? I had never had one before despite playing a lot, then I received a Wupwup weapon bag and a Forgemaster armour bag this past week within a couple of days of each other. I understand the concept of RNG but it still seems strange to get 2 so close together – maybe sympathy drops to make up for all the lousy luck I generally have!

Got Anchus, Zoijas weapon boxes from fractals 50 and Tonns from a WvW rank chest within 3 days. It’s just luck I guess, last weapon chest was a Occams 3 months prior.

I have a Cleric’s staff (non-Ascended atm) on my Ele for when I feel like running a “healer” build. A Guardian could probably do the same.
