What graphic card do i need for max settnings and do i neee 2 gb or 4gb on the graphic card ?

Your graphics card is less important than you CPU is in GW2. I have a laptop with an Intel i5 and a Nvidia 940M, and it plays better than my desktop does with an AMD R9 270X 4GB, because I have an AMD APU for the processor.

But the cpu dont give u beautuful graphic just better performance right ?

The pretty graphic effects of GW2 don’t require a very powerful card, because they are still dependent on the CPU. You will be better off spending money on a good processor and a middle of the road graphics card…

Yes but the game isnt very demanding on the GPU, but the CPU.
You can have a TitanX, but if you have a bad CPU you’ll have a bad time since this game is very demanding on it, i run a i5 4670k overclocked to 4.4 GHz + a 780 GTX which is waaaay more than i need in the GPU department for this game.
I started playing this game with a 560 GTX and it was just fine.
If you want beautiful graphics in this game i would suggest you take a look at stuff like SweetFx.

When you are looking for a GPU, don’t look at the GB amount… RAM doesn’t tell you anything about a GPU’s performance. Have a look at this for relative performance between generations of GPU:

GW2 should get good performance out of anything on the 10th row and above if you pair it with a good CPU, like an i5.

great question! lets start with the budget, from there we can determine whats best for you.

also, how much of a gamer are you? is it mainly for gw2? or do you plan to play other games after you will your new pc?

ANother thing ppl always neglect to think of is their monitor res. This influences everything else tbh. Higher res = more power/expense. At 1080p, 60hz – a 950 GT is sufficient. And yeah CPU/RAM > GPU; it will bottleneck most GPUs first.

That being said, same applies for CPU. If your res is 1080p, even a newer i3 6100 or older can garner max graphics with appropriate GPU. I run this CPU as an inbetween build and the hyperthreads work for this game. I run 1080p and it runs max settings like butter on hot toast. GPU is 960 4gb; tho the gigs don’t matter. However, future proof is all i5s. I will get one when able.
