gw1 expansions?
You will need at least one campaign and EoTN to get HoM points. I think it would be best to get all 3 campaigns. GW1 is a huge game. In my opinion, worth every penny I spent on it. You will need to link your GW1 and GW2 accounts.
Yarr! I be keeping me pirate runes, Matey. Yarr! You’re welcome. Yarr!
what do you mean by one campaign?
edit: also, can i buy used copies or does gw1 need registration codes just like gw2? andddd….lol….if so, do i just need the code for the main game or i need one for each expansion?

The campaigns are Prophesies, Factions and Nightfall. Each can function as the game by itself. The expansion is Eye of the North. The GW trilogy is probably the best buy.
Do not buy used guild wars. It will be worthless.
There is a free trial you can download, from the Prophesies campaign.

You can get a Guild wars trilogy and Eye of the North on steam for 45€, I’m gonna buy those today.
There are 3 campaigns which can either be stand-alone games or combined into one account:
Prophecies (also just called Guild Wars because it was the first one)
Factions
Nightfall
The only true expansion pack is Eye of the North, which needs to be added to an account that already has one of the campaigns.
You should always buy it new. The main thing you’re buying is the account key, which is one use so if it’s been used then the game is useless to you.
You can either by campaigns separately or get 2 or more together. If you just want to try the game out I’d recommend getting any single campaign, but if you want HoM points it’s best to get the complete collection with all 4 releases because you’ll have a much easier time getting points. If you just want one campaign but also want to focus on HoM points then I recommend getting Nightfall because it gives you heroes which make the game and getting points easier.
(If you do buy them separately make sure you only follow the instructions in the box for the first one you buy, later on you need to log into your account and then put the registration code in, otherwise you’ll create a new separate account for each campaign instead of combining them.)
