help needed understanding lvl 80 armour
So the way armor works in this game is in three parts. The names go like this
Stat setup Base armor model Runes
So as an example
Berserker (random armor piece) of the explorer.
What his says is it has the berserker stat setup with the explorer rune. There are a lot of different stat combos such as traveler, cleric, giver, etc.
Each amror set be it bezerker, knight, cleric, giver, rampager ect… comes with its own base stats (power, precision, crit damage, healing ….) plus the rune slot. Then there are many different runes you can place in them. So basically you could have a full set of knights armor, with a full set of runes of your choice. By default almost all level 80 sets do not have runes already placed in them so you can mix and match all you want.
The easiest thing you can do is search the trade post and see all the different sets and runes.
Berserker, Knight, Cleric, Explorer are just some of the many names Arenanet gave to gear based on what stats they have. For example, a weapon that has:
- Power
- Precision
- % crit dmg
Is a Berserker weapon.
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
