stuck at 83% collect on hope 4. so my two questions are what is the trick to gathering the collection item from the matriarch wyvern, killed it twice no item collected either time.
is there a trick or needed item? i had the empty hylek flask when i tried.

I did make HOPE though the details are now fuzzy in my head. But checking the wiki at https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Naphthenic_Acid and https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_Wyvern_Matriarch it looks like it should be dropping if your HOPE IV collection is active, and I don’t recall anything like that being a multi-kill endeavor.

Have you made sure to roam around the platform to both the corpse and the loot chest and looted both if given the option? Do you have auto-loot mastery enabled? Did you get gold participation in the kill(s)?

Are you sure you didn’t get it? Type “napth” in your inventory search field. It might have snuck into a bag slot you haven’t noticed.

If none of that yields the acid, then you may need to submit a ticket. If you have screen shots of your kills and what loot you got/didn’t get, that may help.

it’s not unlocked in my master collection iv list. I grabbed treasure from corpse around corpse, chest, nothing. I submitted a bug ticket but may need to set a live bug ticket.
i’m at 88% now. so getting close to only needing that.

may have to go the screen shot way. is it just printscreen to take one or how do you take a screenshot?

It’s been a month and hopefully you have already found a solution, but here’s a couple of things to consider:

1. Are you fighting the right thing? There’s also a Wyvern Patriarch on the same map.
2. Drops are only meted out to the first 50 combat units to engage an enemy (individuals or groups). If you are arriving late, you may be locked out.
3. You don’t need a flask to collect the item, only to combine them. This part of HOPE IV has no activators.
