what are the different ways to get AR? am tryin to figure out how to get AR? also whats a mat or a mist mat

mat = material, the material for making the back items is vial of condensed mist.

There are several ways to get AR:

Loot ascended items from level 10+ fractals
Buy Laurel ascended gear
Craft Back items (either from scratch with condensed mist or upgrading fractal capacitors bought with fractal tokens)

Also once you have obtained some ascended gear you then have to infuse it to obtain the agony resistance

now fractal comacitors do they have any stats other then an upgrade slot? like id like to make a fractale capictor with power, toughness, and critacal

Laurel ascended gear does not have Agony resist, does it?

Yes they have stats. The vendor inside the fractal portal have several exotic version of capacitor with different stats. Just enter alone, so you can browse them peacefully.

The ascended version get the bonuses from exotic that was used to made it.

It’s not infused so no, but if it have offensive/defensive slots, you can put versatile infusion with +5 AR. The infusion is bought for 75 tokens inside the fractal. And by the time you get to lvl 10 where Agony starts(and AR it’s not needed at 10) you will get enought tokens to buy it.

yep fractals only place with agony currently and even then only levels 10 and higher

so whats the big deal about people grinding fractals? purple gear and such?

chances for good loot, mostly though its something to do, not a lot in game at 80 beyond farming and seeing how high you can get in fractals

anyone know if theres any plans to make fractals usefull somewheres else

Also ascended items have slightly higher of the normal stats than exotic, and so far there is no way to ahve had enough laurels to buy even an ascended amulets (though if you done your monthly and all dailys 2 days more and you will be able to get and amulet)
