Hey,

I have seen some people in their PvP gear sets who have used the gem cosmetic set to change the look of their gear.

I have searched everywhere but I can’t seem to find the answer as you can change the look of lvl 79 gear and below using the Transmogrification process but how do you change the lvl 80 PvP gear?

how you tried the fine transmutation stone from the gem store? (which is used for level 80 gear)

yeah i have tried both double clicking on the krytan armor skin to apply it to my gear but it wont let me drop my PvP set into the other box (will allow any other armor to be changed though) and i cant even select the gem armor set to be used with the fine transmutation stones…

I know i have seen players with their PvP gear changed to the gem armor skins but i cant seem to find any info…any knowledgeable gw2 players able to help out? it would be greatly appreciated.

You get different looks of gear random from the chests that you get as reward for new rank or buy from the vendor ( and afaik by salvaging said pvp gear you can create new at mystic forge)

you can see all the pvp gear you can get and preview it all in the pvp bank

I wanted to know how to apply the gem store armor skins (specifically the krytan armor as i am playing engineer) to the PvP set that you get when you enter the mists.

You don’t its for PVE gear only. The guys who have the gem store gear in pvp is actual PVP skins you can unlock by gaining glory and buying reward chest.

so that means you can get the entire krytan (gem store medium armor skins) set from the chest rewards/purchases through PvP?

Hey. I am new here. Please don’t bash me up. I got the Krytan Set and applied it to my pvp armor. When you get the set u can right click on each item and click on “use”. Then a message pops up giving you the option of converting it into a pvp item. Choose that option. After you’ve converted all your krytan armor pieces to ‘PvP’, you can go to the mists and use the look of the armor. Go to the mists and press “H”.. which pops up ur hero and right click on each armor slot..head, shoulders etc. In the drop down list that appears, the ’Krytan Helm", “Krytan Shoulders” etc should be available. Choose this armor and then buff it up with gems etc. Hope this helps.
