is it possible to reset the points i have used on skills?
if so, how?

You can reset trait points at a trainer.
You can’t reset skill points because you get more than what’s needed within the game, so just level up a bit and buy the skills you want.

so its ok to spend the skill points on skills im not sure about or if i figure out its not a skill i like and not regret it later?

Yeah, you’ll get more than enough skill points to get all of the skills listed, so honestly don’t worry about it.

you can always go gather more skills from maps you haven’t yet collected them. UIt is pretty fast specially if there are lower level ones.
