Guild Wars 2

hi :)
i have been getting alot of whispers from people wanting me to join their guilds but they all seem to be role-playing guilds which i don’t enjoy. i play on Tarnished Coast and just found out that its the unofficial role-playing server for US. nothing against role-players – it just isn’t my thing.

i want to transfer but cant find out any info on exactly how to do it and i am not sure exactly where to go. i would like a medium size server that has mostly west-coast players but again that information is hard to find out.

can anyone recommend a server or 2 that would fit that bill and tell me how i go about switching?

You do it from the character selection screen. As for population, it fluctuates. The low/med/high/full status that you’re seeing is live. It refers to players on the server at that moment.

I haven’t noticed very many servers that have people from a specific time zone (unless it’s, say, a German server), but I have noticed that you can gauge how popular it is in your time zone by logging on at 5-7pm your time and seeing which servers have the highest populations. If you want to get into a server that’s full, you’re going to have to log in at ~5-7 am your time and hope that the population has fallen enough for you to shoehorn yourself in.

Also, if you’re looking for a specific server for a specific type of community, find forums for that community and see what they’ve designated as their unofficial server. This is how I learned about Crystal Desert being the unofficial GLBT server.
