So if i put a mighty infusion in my ring slot, can i stil infuse it via the mystic forge and will i still have the mighty infusion i it?

You can infuse it via the Mystic Forge, but you will lose the upgrade. (Think of it as changing armor. When you replace your helmet, you lose the rune attached to it.)
