I’m starting to encounter mobs that use reflect damage skills, so would like to be able to stop my character auto attacking when necessary, without facing him away from the enemy I’m attacking to do so.

If it’s projectile reflects, you can also switch weapon set from ranged to melee and then just keep away.

ETA: also CTRL + right click on the skill will toggle AA on/off.

ESC – escape – several more characters so I can post a 3 letter answer.

Also, turning away from the target will at least stop ranged fire (ex: arrows)

As long as you’re not getting hit, stow weapon will act as a cancel action button as well. I have mine bound to X for RP purposes, but it works for breaking res in case you get bugged where moving won’t cancel it.

Not the best option for stopping auto attacks, but it’s an option that’s usable in more ways.

Three ways:

- ESC will cancel your attacks, (but will also sometimes show the menu, which can be annoying).
- Stow your weapon (don’t remember default bind, but you can bind it to any key), but won’t work if you’re getting hit.
- Turn 180 degrees (don’t remember default bind either, but also can be bound to any key), this is the one I normally use when using ranged weapons (bound it to V, as I use Z, X and C for utility skills), it’ll make you look the other way, so it’ll stop autoattacking. It sometimes work for melee, but not always if you’re too close, but when I’m meleeing I usually just roll backwards to stop attacking.

All players should learn to use ESC…..(tho it often does not stop attacking quick enough).

There is no default bind for stowing weapon. You have to bind it yourself.
