hello i’m just here to ask a question if anyone else has had any luck in getting legendary armor i can say that they are out there because i was able to get a pair of legendary light armor gloves from the shatterer event chest called kralkatorrik’s legacy after the event.. don’t know if this belongs in this section so if the mods want to switch it to the right one by all means.

I was told there isn’t any legendary armor in the game yet…

-_- i’m going to be very annoyed if i’m the only 1 who has seen a legendary piece of armor. Would much appreciate it if a dev can confirm this, but i’ll bet 10g that the legendary armor is just so bloody rare out of those chests it’s not funny i would post a screen shot of the blasted thing but it bugged because of my full inventory, and i couldn’t pick it up and i wasn’t able to re-loot the chest for the stuff i couldn’t pick up after emptying my bags for some messed up reason. I wound up cussing in all caps in shout chat when that happened, was incredibly angry

mm so are you saying the chest dropped legendary armor, but you weren’t able to pick it up?

though, have not heard any plans for legendary armor, let alone them being in game now.

i’m still wondering where the bloody hell u guys herd that there wasn’t any legendary armor in game because as far as i know the devs haven’t denied their existence nor have the confirmed it

probably because of the same reason.

legendary weapons were well known about their existance before the game came out, but there was little to no talk about legendary armors, so yes i am a bit more inclined on not believing they exist at the moment.

you know what if you don’t want to believe me about it then fine w/e i know what i saw my guild knows what they herd in our ts server, hell the players in the map saw me cussing in all caps in shout chat because it glitched on me so once again w/e and for the record the piece of armor was this

I for one can verify that he saw what he saw. He has no reason to make it up and was in fact very upset when it happened. I’m thinking it’s either exceedingly rare to get them as a drop, thus almost nobody has seen it, or it was something not intended to be in the live game yet and may have mistakenly dropped for him, then was removed shortly afterward. Just because we haven’t heard about legendary armor doesn’t mean they don’t exist. And technically there is legendary Mist armor for PvP, so I would not be at all surprised if there are other PvE versions, or even other skins that we do not yet know about.

Most likely it’s a placeholder for future contents.

why would you not have just destroyed something in your inventory to make room :O If indeed you did in fact receive the only known piece of legendary armor known to exsist and left it behind because you had too many worn leather straps or some kitten, then words cannot express the size of the face palm i have for you…

no need to take it personal, if i say i dont believe it, its just that, i dont beleive it, its not that i am calling you a liar, but without evidences, hell even a screenshot of it bugged that you cannot take it, i will take things with a grain of salt unless hard evidence is shown.

if your friends and guildies believe you, good for you, means they are real friends and material worthy guildies, they trust you enough for that.
with that said, I (much emphasis in me) do not know you, and thus i cannot trust you “Just like that”, doesnt mean its a bad thing, its just that, you are a stranger to me, just like i am a stranger to you.

relax, and just keep farming that chest, im sure it will appear again sometime, somewhere

as AW said, do not take it personal. unfortunally we are a community of people and even from the good of heart, people make sometimes the mistake to misinterpetate what happened (not saying that that is the case here).

As an example I use the original GW1 wiki. If you unlock a skill at the end of prophecy’s, that skill could also be bought at the first skilltrainer in prophecy’s on a different character on your account. So on the GW1 wiki, bout atleast once per week, someone not knowing bout this, updated a skillpage, making a false report on the acquisation.

Thats why an important rule is to give a screenshot or it didn’t happen.
The reason I am sceptical bout your reward is that legendary weapons do exist, and are confirmed by the devs. I have heard bout the red-armor, but afaik the general opinion is that it is a glitch (simular to the fact that stats on your equipped armor sometimes are showing totally different stats for totally different armor, reloading ‘h’ solves that.

This can indeed also happen with drops. It might be future content that already have a reserved slot, or content that was abbanded before release but still have the item-id in the database and so a change to be seen through such a glitch.

So without a screenshot I have to conclude that you saw a glitch and not a real drop. Con clusion: legendary armor-pieces are currently not present in the game.

ok proof that there is legendary armor in game granted it’s high end pvp armor but check this website http://www.gw2db.com/items/armor won’t have that gloves the bugged for me but still legendary armor

hey dastryin, like many have said, don’t take it personally! : )) we were’nt trying to put you down. and i merely said i haven’t heard any talk of legendary armor until now. and just suprising that there’s so little talk for it.

that being said, why didn’t you get rid of stuff from your inventory!!! though am sure if you saw it once, you’ll see it again. good luck and do post again when you do get it. ; ))

As he said it was bugged. He didn’t get the option to collect it. He simply saw it on the side of the screen and was able to see what is was before it disappeared. I have seen this bug a few times myself, though never something THAT high end, only with the occasional rare.
