Hi guys

Im looking to purchase a new keybd and mouse. I used up to death my HP factory issue kbd and my old guild wars1 mouse from razer on last legs. Any suggestions on a good gaming kbd that’s backlit, mid price, I can make macros and has a nice ability to manage keys. Mouse Id like to stay with a 2 button on the side mouse like the razer and stay with the ps/2 approach rather than usb and wireless. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Took a look at the gw2 steelseries kbd but it is no longer available.

ps/2 is…old and antiquated. Is there any reason you want to stay with that, like due to lack of USB ports or something?

Mid price means different things to different people. Mid price for me is the 40-70 USD range. Logitech’s keyboard lineup isn’t too bad.

I recommend the Logitech G500 + a ps/2 to USB converter if you’re really needing a ps/2 port.

I use this gamepad for all my games. It requires some key assignment up front, but is so much better than trying to use a keyboard to move and press buttons.

I would definitly recommend to go to USB, it is much better.
Also don’t get a wireless mouse, you end up with empty batteries at them most akward moments.

An mmo mouse (with skillbuttons under your thumb) is something you can try. Some swear by it, others don’t.

I recently replaced my keyboard and mouse and I am very happy with what i chose. The Razer Deathadder mouse, mainly because it is what I had before and I had been very pleased with it, as a lefty it is one of the few mice that have that alternative. I didn’t want he number of extra buttons on the Naga, and the Naga Hex isn’t available for lefties yet (as far as I could tell) Liking he mouse, i decided to pair it with a Razer keyboard and got the Anansi. If you are a keybinder it has 7 additional thumb buttons below the the space bar which can be paired with the normal keys for alternative functions. Only a couple of downsides, there are no USB ports on the keyboard and it takes 2 USB ports on your computer, the mouse takes a third port so if you are short on USB ports you might have to get a hub for it. Both are wired so no battery problems.
