long Hiatus, Hacked, fixed, now im back.Help
anyone….no help at all?
First off all you can ask support to have an account reroll. I’m not sure if they can do it in your case but you might wanna ask.
Second I would advise to delete the level 80 and start over. The way to learn the game is by playing it yourself. So dont take advantage of it.

In the event a rollback can’t/won’t happen and you do decide to delete any characters you didn’t create or play, do put all their stuff/money in your bank and spend all their karma on items your new characters can benefit from.
I believe that I’ll be able to learn the game easily enough on a level capped character. I already have the basics down, i just need to know high level stuff.
I mean i know to salvage/sell unused equipment, and to use the mystic forge on high level items, how to get to vistas, etc. etc. I mean i know the basics i just need to know what zones i should go to, to get started. I suppose im asking….what would be most efficient for me to do right now? I have NO intention of deleting this character, as i consider it a God given gift for the grief the hacker put me through.
Well, what you do with it, you do with it. GW2 is much like GW in the sense that learning the skills and character itself isn’t hard at all. The level really is more of a personal advancement feeling than any tutorial to ‘end-game’ like other games have done; I go so far as to argue that GW2 has no end-game and that having access to everything in the world, freedom to do as you please as it were, is your ‘end-game’.
Some glancing over your traits is pretty much all you’d ever need to do, or skills if it’s a profession you’re not familiar with. Your level means you’re completely unrestricted in where you go, so you can literally go right back to the last place you were at prior to having this ‘gift’ of a 80 human, and basically play like nothing happened. World is, as they say, your oyster. You’ll grow accustomed to it as you play it.
Now, just as something to relate to, let me jot down my own experiences here.
Back in 2011, I logged into my Guild Wars account, getting use to the feel of the game again in preparation for some time spent filling out my Hall of Monuments. Life stepped in the way and I put it down for six months. Came back and found out I couldn’t get into the account. Discovered it was banned, questioned NCSoft about it, got it back, logged in, and found that all of my 8 characters were deleted. Years of birthday presents gone. Money, minis, you name it.
In a bit of a fit I deleted the two characters they had created and made a new one. Found out I had access to whatever guild the entire band of them had made along with a nice share of money they had accumulated through whatever nefarious means they were employing. Note I found out exactly when the account was hacked by looking into the history of my ‘guild’ and the guild I had prior to the hacking. Turns out, this entire guild sprung up within the same week and, one month later, almost to the day, the entire guild vanished. Pretty interesting. End Note
I was crushed. All of that was gone. How in the world was I going to rebuild it all? I made sure everything was secured, and put it down again.
With GW2 looming on the horizon, I got back into GW, worked my kitten off with the money I’d been ‘gifted’, and managed to get 30 out of 50 in under a week.
The hardest part was having to relearn all the skills and work something out going from 1 to 20 again. However, the most satisfying part was going from 1 to 20, doing all of that, grinding it out under the looming pressure of GW2’s launch.
While my story got away from me for a bit, I can say this much. One: What you do with it, as I said before, you do with it. I won’t judge. It is YOUR account. Two: If I was in your shoes, I’d do what darkace suggested, spend the karma, bank the non-soulbound, and cash, then make a new character. I’d want a character I got up to speed myself.
So to summarize: If you’re looking to keep the character, just go right back where you left off. You aren’t really obligated to camp out in areas with the same number as your level. The world is literally just an open playground at this point. You don’t really lose out by not being in 80 areas minus whatever events and such are unique to that zone.
If you’re on the fence, it can’t hurt to use the karma and bank the gold for a new character so you can ride the train to the station officially, as it were.
It’s all a matter of what you see yourself doing.

I wouldn’t just use the level 80 character the hacker left you. GW2 is all about the story and events that happen during the leveling process, and if you just take advantage of that, then you’ll miss out on a lot. Granted, it’s up to you if you want to keep the high level human, but I would really advise you to make a new character and play through the game.
There’s a lot of content cool things to do, and doing that with a “free” level 80 character really won’t be that rewarding imho.
you can use gold to buy gems and so you can get a full make over kit from black lion and return your character to a charr. they also have a name change option in black lion as well
I would strongly advice making an alpha-numeric password.
If your character has done none of the personal stories then do those.
My opinion is a half-way type thing. I say level new characters of your own. Keep the new level 80 guy and use him in WvWvW. You won’t miss out on any story with him that way and you can have some fun in PvP

If you feel your account has been compromised then you should most certainly submit a ticket to Anet support. While maybe not the case since you can still log in, someone might have used your account to bot or in some other nature that violtes ToS. This could come back to you with an unfavorable result. To be safe you should submit a ticket to make sure your account is clear.

Make sure you protect your account from re-hacking! Change you password, I would turn on 2-step verification, and make sure you lock-down the base email address!
I think starting at lvl 80 is more of a handicap than a blessing. But its your choice it sure is a nice memorabilia.
So areas you could go to:
Timberline Falls is a nice place, its pretty and in the south-east corner there’s a group of veteran and 1 champion ettin. They move slow but hit hard with very high toughness and what not. Great place to learn how to play your class.
What you should do: Well have fun. Go to Lions arch and just join in on parties, tell ‘m y’r new at it and they’ll probably be happy to explain what’s going on.
Trogdor my account WAS compromised and i got it back. Swimsasa is the only one actually ANSWERING my question. I’m not asking for advice on what to do with the leveled character in question. I have already made up my mind im going to keep him, and i will roll an alt. HOWEVER what i want to know is WHERE/WHAT do i start doing to progress my level 80! Only person who even kinda answered my question is Swimsasa

One suggestion I would make here. Go make a new email address just for your GW2 account. Change the email address for your GW1 account if you can and contact Anet and ask to change that email account as well.
I did this when I found out one of my old gaming accounts was compromised at another game. I contacted their Customer Service folks and discussed the problem, explaining I had no desire to keep that account and asked for a way to completely purge and delete that old account. Made a new email address for just my GW2 game and went from there.
It is necessary to contact Anet directly to be able to change your email account as NCSoft is involved somewhere here. Folks were very nice and helped me accomplish this.
Consequently, I have nothing outside GW2 that is connected to my email account for this game, period. I change my password at least once a month and use the double authentication option provided.
If I purchase anything from their gem store, I do not use a credit card. I manage that elsewhere. Usually, I just convert my in game gold to gems for that purpose.
Sorry to hear you had issues. Here’s hoping your journey forward is fun filled and exciting.

It is much easier in this game to go back to a region where you left off as your character actually gets mentored (leveled) down to the level of the region. I do this occasionally just to reacquaint myself with something in my personal story from earlier or just to learn new skill sets when I change my character traits. Helps a lot because then I can concentrate on the new abilities and how they interact with my setup and weapon choices.
i would start a new character. just to see the whole game on something i started/played myself. I would also keep the 80 not to explore with but to farm gold and items for my own toon. Why not use it when its there??:P
You don’t have to have anything special to do “end game content”. In fact, you don’t even have to be level 80.
Anyway, what I would do is get all exotics with the stats and skins (look) you want on your gear, including weapon and trinkets. You can Google Argos Soft, who has a complete armor gallery with information on how to get them and what they cost, where you can pick out skins. On the Guildwars2 Wiki you can find where you can get armor sets with the stats you want.
Also know that you don’t need gold to get exotics, but the wiki will tell you all about that. Getting a nice sum of gold is nice though, just because when you see a shiny (from the Black Lion store for example) you can buy it. XD People usually run the dungeon Citadel of Flames path 1 to get gold fast, but you can also farm in Orr. Completing maps there will give you some exotics to use or sell too.
You also can look into getting ascended accessoires which is currently the best stuff there is. You can get them either through the Laurel vendor, Fractals of the Mist or through guild events.
I guess no is able to answer your question since you can go anywhere in Tyria at any level.
Your personal story unlocks dungeon. since you have to do story mode first.
You can do fractal. you can go do sPvP or WvW.
It is all up to you and what you want
I did not notice if you had contacted support. This was a farming bot by the sounds of it and will prob be on peoples target list for bots. Make sure support knows you have taken back control and what was done to the account through official channels not via forums. Keep the character if you want, not a big deal. If you want to run dungeons do so after you have your traits and weapon skills sorted out to where you are comfortable. Easy rare items to rip appart for ectos can be had at all major events see http://guildwarstemple.com/dragontimer/dragons.php?serverKey=201&langKey=en for a list of times and places, not all are listed. Create a new character just to see some things you missed.

You don’t need to do story first to be able to do explorable, you just can’t host your own groups if you haven’t done story first.
Edit: typo.
Um, what you do is what everyone does. Map completion for the fun events and story. Dungeons if you like them. Wvw if you like them. It really doesn’t matter what level your character is, you just play the game.
Now, if your question is where can you get high level gear and weapons, I’d say you need Karma and Dungeon tokens to buy the exotic gear from Temples in Orr and exotic weapons from dungeon vendors in Lion’s Arch. Probalby best to upgrade with Rare quality equipment and weapons from Karma vendors in the level 70-80 areas first before going into dungeons.
