i have two of the six luminescent pieces of armor (headgear and leggings). i have acquired 9 of the 10 required things for the remaining four. the last one for each are the ascended amulets/accessories.

the two i have i was able to purchase from the vendor inside the silver wastes. the others i am not able to purchase there. the others are allegedly available for purchase there, as well as laurel merchants elsewhere, but i cannot get them. i tried three just to make sure i wasn’t crazy.

i really dislike not being able to skip dialogue in the story mode, so will not torture myself to ‘earn’ the part i need when i should be able to just buy them instead for 10 gold.

any ideas why i cannot get the other four without bypassing the story mode? it seems strange that just the two are available for sale.

You have to do story to get those. There’s no way to bypass it, as the items at the vendor only unlock after you’ve earned them completing all of the story achievements for their respective story chapter.

Edit: The other two were unlocked at the vendor because you did the achievements for those two (completed two of the story chapters).

• Luminescent Shoulderguard – Requires Caithe’s Blossom from completing Echoes of the Past achievements
• Luminescent Coat – Requires Caithe’s Remorse from completing Point of No Return achievements
• Luminescent Gloves – Requires Plague Signet from completing Tangled Paths achievements
• Luminescent Footwear – Requires Wynne’s Locket from completing Seeds of Truth achievements

ah…so i unintentionally completed the tasks. fair enough. what a shame i can’t get the others. i like the look. thank you both for replying.

Without a doubt some of those achievements are tough. I still believe that the centaur was the hardest fight I’ve ever soloed.

That said, I’ve been helping a guildie with some of the LS achievements recently. If you catch me online, message me to see if I’m free, and we can try to knock a few off.
