I5 will run gw2 decent with dedicated graphics card you will be golden in wvw, its a 50$ more doh. But it will run gw2 way better than your choices.

I run AMD myself, and on 2nd machine i have I5. Both overclocked but i5 beats AMD out of the water.

I doubt that a dualcore processor with 1,7Ghz is a good choice for GW2

@OP:
Prebuilt Pcs usually suck and in your case the GPU is really bad.

Here the 500$ option looks solid.

GuildWars 2

Currently playing Heart of Thorns.

Ok so I totally understand where you are coming from with " small budget "

But ill be hell of honest with you that buying the listed laptop will see you absolutely hate yourself.

my GF has a similar laptop and runs WvW at <20 fps and she has a I5 processor with 8Gb ram.

ID say struggle with what you’ve got and save up some more. If this is not an option. see below

Im from SA and not clued up on the US tech stores but having gone through the majority of laptops listed .

This i reckon should be the lowest point to go for especially if you want to command.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152586 and that is even dated.

What setup do you have ATM maybe we can just add a part or 2 if its a desktop.

Else i also spotted the refurbished parts.. these are more often than not demo units that got send back to the supplier to clean and make sure they still pretty and gets resold.

You often save huge chunks on them and they still have a return policy if something goes wrong,. Now there are several of them but in your price range all of them have AMD cpu`s that are not the best.

But after reading through a whole list of them the one id choose in your position would be .

The saving of $31 you buy the best laptop cooler you can.

You have to balance spu power and GPU performance in these laptops.
There are several with better Gpus in the R3-R6 range but they all have very very bad cpus.
This cpu is not much better but it out performs the I5 2400 that is the Hp Pavilion G6 ranges cpu from 2 years ago. That means it should run Guildwars without THAT much of a problem.

AS seen here – http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+A10-5750M+APU&id=1920

The reviews on the GPU are all over the place with games that should do good doing so bad . but then games you’d think will do bad did better,. Out of all the games listed there the one`s i paid attention to was Rome total war 2 and anno 2070. IF they got 30 Fps average on native Resolution ( 1366 × 768) guildwars 2 should be comparable,

So that is my point of view on your matter, Hope that helps,. PS you can get a few good ones just over 500 in the refurb section .

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231521R this one looked good too.
