hey i play on a dragon hunter and would like to begin to raid and do fractals so i would like to know what is the easiest way off getting acended gear i have a nearly max lvl armore

I believe that for raiding at least, ascended weapons are more important to have than ascended armor. For low level fractals, ascended weapons or armor are definitely not necessary, you will do fine with exotic gear. Do you already have a full set of exotic gear?

If you want ascended weapons, I think there are four options. First is to play PvP and hope that you drop an ascended box. Second is to craft them. Third is to craft some marks and use those in combination with fractal relics and gold to buy ascended gear from the vendors in the Mistlock Observatory. Fourth is to craft some marks and use those in combination with shards of glory you get from pvp to buy ascended gear from the vendor in the PvP lobby.

So if you don’t want to trust the PvP rng, you will need to craft either the gear itself or some marks. That means that you will need to level the relevant crafting disciplines, for Dragonhunter (Guardian) these are Weaponsmith and Armorsmith, to level 500. Only then can you craft the necessary stuff for ascended gear.

You should realise that you don’t just have gear, you have gear with specific stats. Some stats work better than others. The best combination of gear can be found on the quantify website, here: http://qtfy.eu/build/guardian As you can see, you will need weapons and armor with the Berserker stat. In game, these are called Zojja’s Weapons and Zojja’s Armor for ascended gear.

So, there is not really a quick and easy way to get ascended gear, probably the easiest and cheapest (but not at all quick) way is to craft them. But the good news is that you don’t need ascended gear to play the low level fractals, exotic is sufficient for that.

get ascended trinkets and backpack from season 3 maps, you can get an ascended weapon by doing the current event, fairly straightforward stuff (though you only get to choose from 5 different types, so depending on what is meta for DH this may not help you). Attune the rings (fairly cheap), once that’s done get some agony infusions, use them on the trinkets/bp/weapon along with a 10 agony resistance potion (15 if you have the fractal mastery, which you should get, both for extra gold and buffs), and you should be able to do t2 fractals, doing the t2 fractal dailies can give you free ascended gear, tho don’t rely on this ofc, the chances are quite small (around 2% I think)

In the meantime farm up some gold and craft asc gear, craft the cheapest set you can find (ferratus stat gear is quite cheap, there might be cheaper ones) then change the stats to whatever you want at the mystic forge for a small price, this is cheaper than crafting directly the stats you want. You should also start crafting the time-gated materials asap (you can buy the item made using these mats on the TP, but crafting is cheaper).

Daily tequatl also has a chance to give you an ascended weapon box

Will iterate on the ascended gear stats change, should you acquire an armor or weapon of ascended quality but not the stats desired…

for ascended armor, you will need:
Armor + Gossamer Insignia with the stats you want + Anthology of Heroes + 5 Globs of Ectoplasm = Armor with the stat types of the insignia (if you use Berserker’s Intricate Gossamer Insignia on an armor, you get a Zojja’s armor)

for ascended weapons, replace “armor” with “weapon” and the insignia with an Orichalcum Imbued Inscription. (If you use Berserker’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription on a weapon, you get a Zojja’s weapon). Still need Anthology of Heroes and 5 ecto.

If you save up laurels, you can also acquire accessories, rings and amulet of ascended quality, but be mindful that these only have the older stats, not the HoT-specific stat combos like Viper’s, and you cannot equip a pair of the same thing (unless one of them gets Infused, but not both).
