good day fellow players.

I am on the cusp of finishing off legendary number 4, The Predator but I hit a bit of dilemma, rifle I can currently use on only 2 of my 7 characters and it really does not fit their looks in any way. my idea is to sell it then buy The Juggernaut.

I’m really not sure what to do, as I really like the look of it and with no idea what the next thief elite spec will be, maybe it’s rifle and a sniper rifle will be a kitten accompaniment to that. but like I said, we don’t know, The Juggernaut on the other hand will look absolutely Awesome! like over 9000! on my guard that is fully kitted in luminescent armor.

what say you fellow players?

I very strongly recommend you don’t ever make choices, especially not on something as expensive and time consuming as a legendary weapon that depend entirely on an unannounced future elite spec to make it work.

What would you do if the next expansion is announced and thieves aren’t getting rifles? What if Anet do an AMA and one of the developers says he doesn’t like the idea of thieves with rifles so that will probably be the very last weapon they get? (I’m not saying that will happen, but how would you feel if it did?)

Other than that since legendaries are entirely cosmetic I think the most important thing is to make one you like the look of and will be able to use. On that basis I think it depends on how often you use those two characters and how attached you are to their current look.

If you want the Predator more than you want to keep their current style (and you could make it work) then make the Predator. If not make the Juggernaut.

My first legendary was The Dreamer, a weapon only 2 professions can use, and since my thief is a big black and white Ash Legion charr it was out of the question for him, so that left just my ranger. However my ranger is my main character so even though only 1 of my 9 characters can use the weapon I get a lot of use out of it.

On the other hand I’ll probably never make Astralaria even though I love how it looks and 4 of my characters can use it, because I rarely use axes on any of them.

(Also in future maybe try to make sure you’re certain which legendary you want to make before you start building it. Otherwise you risk losing a lot of time and gold.)

I made predator because the precursor dropped for me and i wasn’t exactly going to make one at that point as i was busy with Ad Infintum. But thanks, yeah i also don’t really think thief rifle will happen as it will need some serious gimps to the mobility to make it viable and not op. Gonna give it some thought as i still need to grind out some ecto to finish the gift of fortune. Once that’s done i’ll probably have it sorted in my head.

To be honest with you. Predator and Juggernaut are the two most useless legendaries in the game. Neither rifle or hammer have a place in PvE and PvP content. I doubt they will play any major role of any in the future.

Right about rifle since engineers use their kits instead, wrong about hammer. guardian does use hammer with scrapper doing so in fractal as well.
