hey all how are you doing

so i recently got 35 gold
i have been collecting

and i guess i want to buy exotic gear because i wear rare now and exotic seems like a good upgrade ( or not i dont know )
so what is your advice to me on that matter should i spend that gold ( i know its a little gold for you guys but its alot to me ) some guys told me its better to buy the karma armor from the temple vendors
others told me to buy the armor from the WvW

the second thing is
now that i want to buy an armor i guess i should choose a good build to stick with for along time
i really dont like copying builds but if any body knows a good one for dungeons and pve post it
or if you can tell me the basics that if i know i will make my own build
any help is appreciated

the final thing is
now im lvl 80 and my highest crafting lvl is 170 ( cooking )
i feel like im stuck and dont know what to do to lvl up my crafting

At this point, I think you are better off either buying armor with gold or leveling up whatever armor craft you need to the proper level and craft it yourself. Karma got nerfed recently and it is harder to obtain now than gold is.

It all depends on what your needs and wants are and what activities you do in game. Are you thinking of crafting ascended? Going for a Legendary? Then you will need a lot of karma. Still, gold is very easy to come by if you do the right activities (i.e. dungeons).

As for crafting, go over to gw2crafts.net there you will find all you need to know about crafting and has several guides to get you there for the least amount of gold spent.

Crafting cost you a limb nowadays, best option are the armor exchanged for dungeon tokken, it takes a little more time but it’s free and you will get loot and nice rewards for doing dungeons, but go with your friends or guild mate or it will be more like a chore than a game if you are unlucky with the groups you find.

Unless you have a specific stat combination in mind that’s only available one way you should use whichever currency you find easiest to acquire and/or have the least uses for.

I used karma to buy my first set of exotics because I had a lot of it and (unlike my gold) rarely spent it. All I had to do was run to the relevant temples and occasionally help unlock them by doing the events. If I’d bought it with any other currency I’d have needed to farm for ages before I could afford it.

But someone who mainly plays WvW would probably say it takes forever to get enough karma and you should use Badges of Honour because they’re easier to get. Same with people who do a lot of dungeons recommending dungeon tokens. Or people who farm a lot recommending buying them from the TP. And so on.

The important thing to remember is all exotics are equal. There are different combinations of stats but none have more/better stats than others. It’s not like people buying armor with dungeon tokens will have a better set than people buying it with karma or whatever.

So pick the stat combination you want, find out how/where you can get it and use the method that seems easiest (or most fun) to you.

You can, you just need to change the amelioration slot (there is a empty one on WvW and one with a kittenty rune on dungeon one) you should have bought from tp when ascended armor kikcs in. The price of crafted armor will drop insanely. I looted a exotic head (Mhenlo) it’s only 1g now and only 80s on demand, so I recycled it and got some ecto.
