Alright im gonna start off with saying ive tried all the classes so please no one answer with “just play it and youll know”
Ok now my question is can anyone point me in the direction of a class that has decent servivalbilitt nothing to easy but not where I die every other quest…
I prefer playong ranged classes/support
Dont really care for hitting huge numbers and I dont wanna get stuck smashing the same 1-5 everytime looking for some versatilaty
Dont have any armor prefrences (cloth leather etc)
Prefer pve small wvw

Ranger sounds right up your alley. Medium defense and decent hp, some of the longest range attacks in the game, decent damage output, and their nature spirit skills are nice group support. The greatsword and longbow are my favorite weapons for Ranger, but they have a number of options you can try out to find what you’d like to switch between.

There is your problem.
First off all, there are no quests. But my advice goes for everything you can fail on in the game.

Your issue isn’t with a profession but with your gaming skills. There is no need to die every other ‘quest’ and it is possible to do everything in this game with limited amount of death without deaths (or downed).

The thing is I think you need to adjust your gaming skills to this game. I know it is not nice to die. but the solution is to prevent that. to make it sound very harsh, you need to learn to play gw2.

If you are on an european server, I’m happy to join with you, see how you play and help you. There are many common mistakes people make. for example, for former gw1 players like me, I was too much used to not be able to move and cast. I needed to learn to move and dodge. Your problems might be totally different. So either describe how you are playing when you die or let someone join your party to observe you and give advise.

Ele is actually a very powerful solo class once you build and play it right- I can solo hearts, events, group events, champions, AC story, the endboss of TA F/U, etc without issues. Granted, it requires attention and alertness, but it is very possible to play ele without dying on every other thing you fight.

If you like ranged, engineer is the class with the most ranged options, but it plays much like ele (if you use kits). Mesmer is also a decent ranged/support-capable class.
