I recently bought 5 opal crystals from the TP and it seems that i am unable to put it into any of my jewelry and only armor, is this how its supposed to be? If so can someone please explain to me how inserting jewls, crystals, sigils, runes, etc into armor , weapons, and jewelry works?

You use the Jeweler crafting profession to combine the raw gems with metals into jewellery (or buy them from the TP) which you can then put into your trinkets (rings, amulets, etc.). Generally speaking, you want a rune set in your armor and sigils in your weapons since they tend to give better benefits than jewellery.

That said, to actually answer the question: You can put them on your armors, but it is very specific. You might not have the appropriate level or gear to put crystals in.

Opal crystals require you, and your gear, to be at least level 65.

Well then you should be able to use them. Is your equipment also req. lv65 at least? Because you can’t use them on armor lower than that I believe.

Are you sure you don’t have the JEWELS? Those can only be put on Trinkets (and backpacks) as upgrades.

If you’re level 71, that’s great, but the piece of equipment you want to put the Opal Crystal into needs to be high enough level as well. If you have a level 60 Ring, you can’t put a level 65 Opal Crystal into it. Get a level 65 Ring, and you’ll be set!
