its not so much that i have a question, but i have a guild with a friend of mine and we were rly looking forward to the guild hall, since we both like decorating housing in mmo’s. we are at the mission to unlock the gilded hollow atm but we just cant do it, we tried asking for help in map chat but they are either too busy with a champ train or we cant gather enough people at the same time to do it.

ive read that we need atleast 5 people? so i would like 4 people to help me unlock the hall, i cant offer much in terms of a reward since i already put my money in the guild hall. i can however offer help in return where i can.

It’s essential to know the region (NA/EU) you’re in. And it would be helpful to know your time zone, and the days/hours you’re available, so people can try to match up schedules.
Optimally, you should have a group of 8 or 9 people, communicating via voice chat.(I’d install and get used to Team Speak, if you don’t use it already.)
For Gilded Hollow, you’ll need at least 1 person in the group to have Exalted Mastery level 1, and some way to portal people who don’t have it. Gliding and Mushroom Jumping are very helpful, but not required.
For groups larger than 5, someone can tag up and form a squad. The squad commander doesn’t have to be a member of the claiming guild, but a member of the claiming guild must start the instance.
The problem is, you’re going to need to do guild missions to get favor. You can convert your current influence to favor, and that will get you started. But you’ll need to earn favor to continue to upgrade. You can get the merchant and armor repair anvil for 50 gold & 50 favor, and your storage will be grandfathered in. But you’ll probably have to do some guild missions(with at least 3 to 5 people) to earn favor to upgrade further. You’ll get a lot of functionality having guild storage, armor repair and merchant easily accessible. You just have to judge how much more you want, and how difficult it will be to obtain with a tiny guild.
Dulfy’s guide has a lot of helpful information: http://dulfy.net/2015/10/23/gw2-guild-hall-claiming-and-upgrade-guide/
And the wiki page will help you see what you need to do, and how much it will cost for given upgrades:

my thanks for you reply, my region would be EU,
for my time zone im not sure, but i live in holland if that helps.
i have the exalted mastery myself and i also have commander tag, so i could form a squad myself.

when it comes to the favor we can do races and such and just join up with other guilds and complete it that way, we have been doing that for a while now so we already have a decent stash of favor

Edit: im pretty much always available myself after 16:00

You might try to work (EU) or -EU in at the end of your subject, so that people know what region you’re in without having to read the thread.
I’m in NA, and anyone I know that could help you is also. So that isn’t helpful.
It’s great that you’ve adapted to find ways to earn favor with such a small number of people. That’s the hardest part, IMO.
This guy is also looking for help, but hasn’t yet specified what region he’s in:

Congratulations on getting your guild hall. Nice of them to defer your offered payment. No way for players to close topics, I think. It’ll fall off the front page and get buried, eventually. Or you could you request that it be closed.
