hi, i just explored 100% of the map.
and my friends tell me that the game should offer me a crafting mat reward or something..
but i didnt get any rewards for completing it.
i just wanted to make sure there is a reward, and it is a bug, before i open a ticket.

you’re suppose to get 2 gifts of exploration from a reward chest like from a daily

If you completed 1 map you should get:
Coins (amount scales with the level of the area),
Experience (10% of level at the time map was completed),
2 random pieces of equipment (appropriate to level of the area),
3 Basic Transmutation Stones or 1 Black Lion Key,
40 random crafting materials or 20 random ingredients available in the zone.

Unless it’s a city, in which case you get just 10% experience and 3 basic transmutation stones.

For completing the entire world (including WvW) you get 2 Gifts of Exploration (added to the reward for the last map you finished), a medal on the character selection screen and a star next to your name.

Aside from the star and the medal which appear automatically whatever reward you get will appear in a chest on the bottom right of your screen, same as the reward from doing the daily achievement.

If it can help, the wiki says sometimes World Completion doesn’t get triggered, but you can visit again Chantry Of Secrets (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chantry_of_Secrets) to make the game aware of your progress…

thanks but i found out about the Chantry of Secrets on google, and i tried it, but it didnt work.

Are you sure you have 100%? The game displays 100 a little early and on top of that, the two places on the character select screen can show different numbers. Verify by looking at the breakdown in the top left corner of the world map.

If you haven’t yet, there are also 2 new waypoints in Orr. I believe those count towards World Completion for those that haven’t done so before the patch. So if you’ve finished Orr before the patch, then you may have to return to get those 2 waypoints.

Yep, you only get 2 gifts of exploration for 100% world exploration.

Pretty disappointing for someone not going for legendaries…

Have you done the WvW parts yet?

yes i got the medal on the char select screen,
and 100% shown on the left part of the screen (301/301, 509/509, 719/719, 202/202, 266/266),
and yes, ive done the WvW.

Did you check your explorer tab? You have to have all of the different areas 100% also. This means you have to find all areas on the maps, not just the wp’s and such.

That’s not true at all. Explorer has nothing to do with world completion.

Guess it must have been a bug on my end then. I spent some coin trying to figure it out. But then again, it was before you could see what zone was missing what.
