i have a lvl 80 ranger and a lvl 80 thief i want to swap there armor around go the thief is got the rangers armor on and the ranger has the thief’s armor on but both armor sets are soul bound i cant remember were i read it but if u transmute a armor of armor it loses its soul bound does anyone know if that’s true or not and if its not true is there a way to change my armor sets around

This was possible, but has been considered as undesirable and therefore changed. If you transmutate a soulbound item it stays soulbound.

When did they change that, Mercury? I had a guildie use the white-item transmute trick to get faction skins within the last week or two.

Amaterasu, the trick (if it still works) is to transmute the skin onto a cheap white item of the same type. Bank that. Then take it out on the alt and transmute the skin onto that alt’s gear. You can’t swap stats like that but you can swap looks. Note that you will lose the statted item so you’d best have replacement gear for both alts ready to go.

The trick still works. In the patch notes about a month or so ago they had something listed about fixing soulbound transmutations but it never affected the trick
