Yes. I want to play sPvP with my friends.

I have stated this in several relevant forum post in beta and live.

And…
A player rating system (ELO) that is aggregated to a team rating when pickup teams are formed will address the ‘… I don’t want pre-mades to stomp PUGs…’ discussion.

I know tournaments are out there, but when I am online with one or two friends we just want to jump in and play…

Premades cant stomp pugs cos if ppl feel that group is bad you can leave and join to another one. Btw need a ‘report afking ppl’ option too.

No, I don’t want to see join as group outside of the tournament. Anyone who thinks it’s fair for a group of players on teamspeak to play against a pug that is using chat to communicate is on the pre-made. Get a full team together if you want to play with your friends. I’m sure you could find a couple people willing to complete your team.

Oh, but then you’d have to play against folks where potentially the whole team was coordinated and you’d be at a disadvantage. See how that works?

Pandemoniac, this is already possible. You can join friends, it’s just more of a pain.

I really want to play more sPvP but I’m usually only with 1-2 friends and we don’t want to commit the time for a full tournament. We just want to hop in together and have fun. All I really want is for the “Play Now” button to send everyone in my party to the same game, rather than having to take the extra steps to play together.

Maybe you could tag along with 1 friend, like in League of legend, but definetly not more than that, half a premade team against only pug is just not fair.

In the original GW teams played teams and the random arenas randomly grouped people. It worked well. Not sure why they would change that – there’s no way for a 5 person team to fight another 5 person team in the hot join? I’m enjoying the WvW, so I haven’t looked at the structured at all yet.

I’m still opposed to make it any easier to pit a pre-made against a pug, even if there is currently a way to do it.

So you are asking for unfair advantage over solo players because they can just leave and join another game. I think I see why your idea is being ignored and I hope it will remain that way. Tournaments are for premades and if I’m not mistaken free ones can be joined solo or in smaller group and additional players will join from solo pool.

It seems to me that it’s already in place, in the form of tournaments. The only thing not implemented seems to be the ability to queue as a group, yet face randomly grouped people.

That doesn’t sound like much of a challenge…
