still lost with this Halloween
there was some kind of event at the fish fountain this morning, but did not see many people participating, so i left Lion’s Arch and went about my business.
There’s a scavenger hunt starting in LA right now. You can also mine candy corn for weapons skins and crafting recipes and trick-or-treat with the strange doors that have spawned in several maps. There’s also costume brawl. There will be a jumping puzzle and a dungeon before it’s over.
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
I don’t know how you feel about spoilers on that kind of stuff, but if you’re ok with it I have found two great explanations on what you can do in Act I these days:
For the event I recommend Guild Wars Insider: http://www.guildwarsinsider.com/gw2-halloween-the-great-scavenger-hunt/
For the achievement hunting I recommend watching WoodenPotatoes video on youtube, his is the best at explaining what to do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO0bmYLm0qc&feature=g-user-u
Some pretty fun stuff ANet has included in the Halloween events, I’m looking forward to other holidays if this is the level of detail they plan on putting in everytime.
For now the brawl was the most fun.
Hop into the big cauldron via the surrounding jumping platforms to get a random brawl costume then enter the brawl with your skill and off you go.
Had most luck with the “Kung-Fu” skeleton.
Also you need to mine (use copper picks) a bit of candy beforehand, so that matter meter works.
Which was slightly annoying.
Though even more annoying was trying to figure out these clues.
Just use the above guide, it really isn´t worth breaking your brain about them. Hope that rather measly backpack item you get out of it will get upgraded in the next stage.
Without loosing it´s own upgrade slot!
Apart from that I still haven´t figured out how to get the recipes for all those crafting mats. Will probably just sell the kitten things.
