target calling.. how exactly does it work?
-NaughtyProwler.8653
Everytime you ctrl+click on a target (either npc’s other player or foe) you will see the text and the mark. If you don’t see it you didn’t click the target but e.g. the air next to it. You need to click the target, and not his name or healthbar (unlike in GW1).
This ping won’t apear on the minimap, but the old things are still possible.
hold Shift + hold left mouse button to draw on the minimap
hold shift + click left mosue button to make an alert ping on the minimap
hold Alt + click left mouse to place a personal waypoint (actually just a personal marker wich won’t go away, this can be used to mark e.g. a ‘do not cross’ point for you partymembers or ot have a reference of a point of importance on the map (also usefull when your partymembers need to go to a point on the map you have unfogged, but they did not.
The personal waypoint can be removed by a left click on the point.
Overall I would say it is a litle bit harder, but all the functions are there and the permament map marker is even an improvement imo

ty for the explanation.. but they really should bring back the old target calling system imo.
its hard to identify targets with all the FX spam and narrow FoV.. esp if you’re in a dark dungeon with narrow corridors…

I agree, but I can’t help you with that. Feel free to make a suggestion in the suggestion section.
