Just an example

Say I have an infinite light, but I don’t like the stats.

I transmute the infinite light skin over a normal berserker sword.

does the berserker sword take on the infinite light name or only the skin?

When you transmute two things you pick two or three boxes that create the new item. First is the look which also has the name. Second is the stats, and third is the upgrade component if one of them has it. So if you take the skin of infinite light it will also have that name.

It kind of sucks, I wish you could take names and skins apart. I have an Experimental Collection Staff ver. 00.19.98.293 (or something like that) of the Geomancer. It’s the best name of a staff, really, but it has the classic staff skin.

I believe the displayed name is taken of the skin. But the technical name (sometimes seen, like when it gets damage) is the one from the stats.
