I once got phoenix armor skin for my birthday from my guild leader and my friend. He knows i’m a broke kitten all the time and spend gold on stupid things. Which reminds me i have to buy him something.

Back in the day when fractals were at the beginning, i accidently found a nice group of people and every night we did fractals. We were all from different countries but still had fun on skype every run. We weren’t perfect party, so i remember as last fractal was getting closer we traded blues and green armor among ourselves so we don’t run naked. Every time because we sucked. I still play with one of them we became friends and he’s halarious

Last Christmas, my Secret Santa sent me an amazing present. Until the very end, I was skeptical that it would work. But my Santa sent me one, and they sent me a haiku, as well! It wasn’t so much about the present as it was about the gesture, the little things that mattered!

Once i got caught by a zerg while roaming by myself in wvw, and a guardian from my server came out of nowhere with the teleport heal, put up the sanctuary ability and revived me. We both came out alive.

I worked on my legendary for a longer time than most people do. I played the game for over 2 years before I actually got my legendary. I just never had enough time to get serious about farming and the task always seemed so daunting to me. But eventually I had saved up all my mats, except my precursor. The idea of farming another 1k+ gold just made me want to curl up in a ball and cry. On valentine’s day, I received my precursor in the mail from my significant other. Nicest thing anyone has ever done for me in game.

*Honorable mention to a good friend Demi for the outfits he has bought both me and my significant other on occasion just out of the goodness of his heart.

To survive this world you must be mad as a hatter. Luckily for me, I am positively insane.

Nice things happen almost every day in this game, but I’ll give a shout out to the guildie who made me a pile of 18-slot bags in the first month or two of the game. I had no idea at the time how much gold those cost to make. And believe me, gold was rare back then. I remember hesitating to buy gold with gems that XMas to get the flute-shaped Minstrel precursor for a friend who ICly needed a flute. 9 gold, zomg, that was expensive!

I’m still using the bags, having shifted them to alts as I got 20 slotters on my main.

Storage space has to be about the nicest thing anyone can give me in games Otherwise I sort of groan when I get new cool things because I have to find room for them.

(Also that guildie continues to rock. He’s super competent at everything in the game and unstintingly shares his time and knowledge with the rest of us, in the nicest possible way).

Gotta shout out to some old guildies who donated the last batch of T6 mats (this was way before champ bags and such) about 50g worth (back when 50g was a lot of gold) so I could complete the last two gifts for Bolt.

I make sure to pay it forward for guildies who ask for help with various things. Particularly new players who have just reached 80.
