Guild Wars 2

Hi i have just started guild wars up again? i have a level 22 elementalist but its really low damage and is really hard so i was thinking of rolling something else? what are warriors, thieves and necromancers like for leveling and damage wise early and end game? which do you think is more fun?

From my experience -

Warriors – Easy to level, good damage and everyone loves having a warrior around.
Thieves – More difficult to level. Very squishy but on the other hand most things die before you really have to worry about them.
Necros – Not too difficult to level but damage is not great. It’s ok just not amazing.

Personally for me the most fun is Necro then Warrior and then Thief. My advice would be make one of each and try them out see which you prefer.

What about ranger? That’s another that looks good between ranger and warrior I think

Oh definitely Ranger all the way. Much more fun than Warrior for me. Just watch out for the Pet AI (the I part can be non existent) and learn how to manage it (when to stow/set on passive/use F2 skill) but you should pick that up as you go along.

Is it good dmg and fun to lvl and does it die easy etc

Also whats pro’s n cons between warr and ranger really dunno which to choose

Warriors -
Pros – Easy to handle, welcome in most groups, good damage, good survivability
Cons – Everyone has one. Kinda dull (for me).

Rangers -
Pros – Fun to level (for me), not bad damage (not as good as warrior), ok survivability
Cons – Lot of Ranger hate, ranged weapons do less damage than melee weapons, Pet AI is not great.

Honestly the best way to find out which would be best for you is to make one of each and play them for a little bit and see which you prefer. I prefer Ranger. I like my Warrior as well, I just find that Ranger is more fun.

Whichever class you choose try out the different weapons. But my advice is make one of each try them out for a few levels (till about level 10) and see which you prefer.

what r thiefs n elementalists like too

Ele’s are very good but require a bit more concentration to play (swapping between elements to get the best out of combo fields and such). Thieves are very squishy but can hit quite hard.

You have 5 character slots. Pick a class you like the look of and create a new character and play it. If you decide you don’t like it then create a new one. No one can tell you which will be the best character for you. YOU have to try them to find out. So my advice? You’re not enjoying your Ele? Then start a new character. Pick a class and race you like the look of and play it. If you don’t like it delete and start again until you find something you enjoy.

Ele for me was a lot of fun. Very tricky to get going on, but for me a lot better survivability wise than thief at lower levels. It took me until almost 80 to get a good feeling for thief and it is still not a favourite of mine. Hunter was my first to 80 and I still try out new content first on her, a lot of fun but as said the pet AI can drive you nuts. Warrior I did next to last (just at the begining of the year actually) and while it is sound and does good damage for me was not exciting to play.
